Description
Distillers dried grains with solubles, the co-product of corn ethanol production. DDGS gives feed formulators protein, digestible fibre and energy in one ingredient, at a lower cost per protein unit than soybean meal. Colour is a practical quality signal: golden indicates controlled drying, dark indicates heat damage and reduced lysine availability.
