SOILAG. Trading

About us

Trading built on origin knowledge.

SOILAG Trading was founded to close a gap that buyers overseas keep running into: South America has the tonnage, but not always a counterparty that answers for the whole shipment. We do.

Company overview

SOILAG Trading operates from Montevideo, Uruguay, with an export desk in La Plata, Argentina. Uruguay gives us a neutral trading jurisdiction, a free port regime and direct access to the Nueva Palmira and Montevideo terminals. Argentina gives us origination at the source of the Paraná upriver complex.

We trade eight commodity categories across agricultural, food and industrial products. Some move as bulk cargo in Panamax and Handysize vessels, some as containerised or reefer cargo. What stays constant is the process: verify the supplier, fix the specification, secure the freight, prepare documents the destination will accept.

Mission

To connect South American supply with international demand through commercial operations that are executed exactly as they were agreed.

Vision

To be the reference trading counterparty for buyers who want South American origin without carrying the origination risk themselves.

Values

Transparency

The counterparty sees the same numbers we do: basis, freight, and where the margin sits.

Execution

A contract is a promise about a future date. We plan backwards from that date.

Verification

Nothing ships on assumption. Plants, documents and cargo are checked by someone independent.

Continuity

We would rather price a second shipment than win the first one on terms we cannot repeat.

Leadership

Leadership

A small team, deliberately. Every enquiry is handled by someone who can commit.

Jacqueline Jones

Partner | Export Manager — Argentina

Jacqueline runs the Argentine export desk from La Plata: supplier verification, customs and port formalities, document sets and load port supervision. She is the operational counterpart for every shipment leaving Argentine terminals.

Her focus is on protein and food-grade cargo, where plant registrations, cold chain and destination health requirements decide whether a container clears.
